Special Cases for Partners and Staff

Customers, resellers and firms connect tax advisors and manage staff themselves in bessa Manager. Some cases, however, only go through bessa support. This page lists which ones and what your ticket must contain.

For the self-service, see Partner Access & Staff.

A person moves to another partner

A bessa access belongs to exactly one partner. bessa never moves an access automatically — an invitation to an email address that already belongs to another partner or to a customer account therefore fails.

The ticket needs:

  • the person's name and email address

  • the previous and the new partner

  • confirmation from an administrator of the new partner

A partner has no administrator left

If the only administrator has left, nobody at the partner can manage staff. Support appoints a new administrator.

The ticket needs:

  • the partner's name

  • name and email address of the person who should become administrator

  • confirmation from the partner's management

To avoid this in future, every partner should have at least two administrators.

Rename a partner or remove a duplicate

If the name of a firm or reseller changes, or a firm was created twice — for example because a customer invited it instead of searching for it — support cleans this up.

The ticket needs:

  • the previous and the new name; for duplicates, both names

  • for duplicates: which entry should remain

An access is deactivated

An invitation to a deactivated access fails. The ticket needs the email address and the partner the person should belong to.

Connect the customer's own accounting

A customer's own employees who handle their accounting are not connected via Partner access. They get the same rights as a tax advisor — read access plus the chart of accounts — but are set up by support.

The ticket needs:

  • the customer account (name and External customer number)

  • name and email address of the people

  • the customer's consent

Older tax advisor connections

Connections set up before Partner access was introduced show no consent under Partner access. This is not an error and needs no ticket. Customers can remove such connections like any other and add them again if needed.
