Version 6.1.0 reorganises Settings into four clear categories and makes the register's daily work visible: a print queue that keeps printing when a printer is away, a sync status page that names what is waiting or overdue, and an operating status right on the welcome screen. It also adds a payment function key for meal and gift vouchers, article search, hotel room charges via Casablanca, and an order monitor that can delay a dish, print at its own station and recall a bon.

🆕 New Features

• Payment function key for meal and gift vouchers: A new PAYMENT function key settles part of the bill up front. It books a configured amount — a fixed value or a share of the open total — on a configured payment method as a line in the cart, so only the rest has to be collected; what used to need a payment split is now one key. Configured without an amount, the key pays the whole open value with that method right away, alongside anything already prepared. The prepared amount is capped at the open value, keeps that exact value on the receipt, can be removed again in the cart, and is booked on its own payment method. Once a payment other than a voucher is prepared, the method buttons make way for a single pay button that books the prepared payments together as soon as the bill is covered; a prepared voucher leaves every method offered. Preparing an amount needs a screen that can also collect it, so it works next to the pay buttons and not while ordering onto a table or room. Card terminal methods may be prepared, but only once per bill: pressing the same terminal key again adds to the amount already prepared, a second, different terminal is refused, and a terminal that is not available right now cannot be prepared at all. Internal use and room charges value or move the whole bill on their own, so they cannot carry a prepared share.

• Article search on the order screen: A new search button opens a dialog that filters articles by name or number as you type. Tapping a result books it into the current order — no more hunting through groups for an article you can name.

• Charge an order to a Casablanca hotel room: Open orders can be charged to a hotel room managed in Casablanca. Live check-ins appear next to local bookings in the picker — search by room or guest, or scan the guest's chip — the charge is posted to Casablanca, and a real payment is booked and handed off to the hotel bill, with a signable transfer receipt carrying the invoice number the hotel bill was charged with. A tip can be given and is posted as its own line on the hotel bill; cancelling such a payment posts a matching reversal back to Casablanca. The hotel connection is configured once on the main cash register and inherited by its satellites, so switching the integration off or on for a single register takes nothing but that one switch.

• Print jobs and printer trouble at a glance: Printers now open a detail page with their queue and recent prints, failed ones included. The printing queue gets its own settings entry with a live status badge, jobs link to the receipts screen and to their printer, and printer trouble is flagged live on its own menu status row and on the settings-home card.

• Sync status page: "Sync now" becomes "Sync status" and opens a page listing every synced data type with the number of uploads still waiting — blue while the upload is under way, amber or red once that data type is overdue — plus its last check and upload times. Data that stops arriving is reported too: a data type that has gone half an hour without syncing or confirming it had nothing to sync turns amber, and red after four hours, so an article price or an order layout changed in the web manager can no longer silently fail to reach the register. A data type that reads as failed names the underlying error in its details. The menu and welcome-screen sync shortcuts open the page as well, and "Sync now" there starts the usual partial or full sync. In demo mode the page reports demo instead of counting and warning about uploads the demo deliberately holds back; downloads keep being checked as usual, and syncing "All data" in demo mode warns that the demo data is deleted for good.

• Operating status on the welcome screen: The welcome screen shows the current operating status above the quick-start grid — an "all OK" chip when healthy, otherwise one chip per open issue, such as an expired day or a sync backlog, that taps through to resolve it. The menu drawer no longer opens over it on arrival, so the chips and the grid stay visible.

• Order monitor: recall a bon that was finished by mistake: A new "recent" button opens the bons that left the screen in the past few minutes. Tapping a bon — or a single item — moves it one step back so it reappears on the board and can be worked again.

• Order monitor: hold a dish back until it is due: A delay in seconds on an article — or on an option attached while ordering, such as "+10 min" — keeps the dish off the kitchen screen until it is due, instead of showing it the moment it is ordered.

• Order monitor: print a bon at its own station: Where a printing group is set for a monitor and order step, the register prints there when the bon leaves the monitor; otherwise it keeps using the printing group of the order step itself. A kitchen and a bar working the same step no longer have to share one central printer.

• Tip on the POSit 2 card terminal (Hobex SoftPOS): Switched on for the card terminal, the payment app asks the guest for a tip with its own suggested amounts, percentages and cap — unless the register has already taken one — and the tip is charged and shown on the receipt. The tip function has to be enabled for your business by the terminal provider. The older POSit connection and the other SoftPOS types keep taking the tip on the register.

• Cash count list on the shift report: The shift report now prints the cash count list alongside the cash journal: every counted denomination from the largest note down to the smallest coin, with its quantity and value, followed by the counted total.

• A note with a cash count: The comment on the counting screen is kept with the count, and the dialog confirming a deficit or surplus offers one for the balancing entry. Both appear in the cash journal and on the entry's receipt, and the confirmation stays open until the balancing entry is stored, so a failure no longer loses the note.

• The amount handed over, next to the change: The digital invoice screen and the customer display now name the amount the customer handed over above the change, so the customer can check it before taking the change back. Both lines only appear when there is change to give back.

✨ Improvements

• Settings reorganised into four categories: Settings is now a hub of four categories on phones and a navigation rail with a status overview on landscape tablets. Demo mode gets its own explanatory page, and disruptive actions — the demo switch, restart, exit and demo-data reset — execute after a five-second countdown you can abort. "Help" and "Open manager" are offered once, pinned to the top of the settings overview, instead of being repeated inside the general and sales point categories.

• Printing continues when a printer is away: A print for a printer that is switched off, unplugged or moved to a different USB port now goes into the printing queue instead of being lost. It is listed there, retried on its own, and printed as soon as the printer answers again — so a printer that comes back needs no second attempt from the till. Charging no longer waits for the printer to be found either, which used to hold the register for up to a minute before reporting the failure. Storage trouble on the device no longer reaches printing: the queue history stops being saved while the till keeps printing and working normally.

• Kiosk payouts stay within their limit: A kiosk pays money out only where its sales point allows it, and at most up to the allowed amount per receipt — a deposit return, say, is refused with a message naming that limit. The staffed register is unaffected.

• Built for Android 16: The app is now built for Android 16, so it keeps behaving as expected on the newest Android devices.

• Faster uploads of invoices, shift reports and support logs: These now go to cloud storage directly, so they arrive on slow connections as well. The support log upload runs in the background, leaving Settings usable right away.

• Updated icons: Icons are updated for better rendering and aligned across products.

• Back to the top with one tap: Tapping the order screen tab again jumps back to the top level, so a deeply nested article group no longer has to be left one level at a time.

🐛 Bug Fixes

• A reconnected Epson printer prints again: An Epson printer plugged back in — into the same port or another one — is found and prints again without restarting the register, and the jobs waiting for it go out on their own.

• "All tables" is back in the table selector: The table selector offers "All tables" again — every table across all rooms in one list — plus "Unassigned tables"; hotel rooms get the same across floors. Both show as a list, so the view switcher only offers the views that selection can render.

• "Unsynced data" reports what is really waiting: It showed 0 while an upload was under way. It now reports everything still waiting to reach the cloud — on the menu drawer, the welcome screen, the settings overview and the sync status page.

• Article options are no longer hidden needlessly: A modifier now shows up to twelve of its options directly, and the "+n more" button only appears once it actually saves scrolling.

• The tip dialog opens on the first tap: From the order screen's toolbar menu as well as from the tip row in the order item list. Previously the first tap did nothing and only a second try opened the dialog.

• The cash drawer no longer opens by itself later on: A drawer command that cannot run within a few seconds — because the printer is unreachable or busy — is now dropped instead of firing when the printer comes back.

• A long value no longer swallows its label: The last error of a print job, a printer's connection or a satellite's address now wraps beside its label instead of stretching the row down the screen.

• No more "the register was repeatedly stopped" after starting the device: The app now waits for the device to be unlocked before it opens its database, settings and log files, instead of crashing when the system starts it too early.

• The money counting screen no longer locks up: When saving was interrupted, leaving and reopening the screen kept every field and the save button greyed out, forcing a recount. It now recovers.

• A terminal finds its main register again on its own: A terminal whose main register cannot be reached — because it was replaced, given a new IP address, or simply missed by a search the network swallowed — is no longer stuck until somebody restarts the app. It keeps looking on its own and is back at work within a minute of the register being reachable again, it remembers the address it last reached the register at so a restart no longer waits for a search to succeed, and it repeats a search the network refused instead of treating the first refusal as final. "Retry" looks the register's current address up again, on the local network and in the cloud, and the terminal can log itself out on the error screen even without its main register.

• The number pad books the quantity when quantity and price match: On an article with a free price, entering 5 × 5 booked a single item at €5.00 instead of five at €5.00 each. A quantity entered without a price — 5 × and then the article — no longer books the quantity as the price either: the article asks for its price and keeps the entered quantity.

• A till removes what the main register deleted: It used to keep an invisible copy for good, so its storage grew with every deletion.

• A till notices when its live connection dies quietly: After a WLAN handover or a network timeout, a till could report itself as connected for days while falling back to constant polling. It now rebuilds the connection within a minute. Changes it missed in the meantime are fetched again instead of being skipped for good, whether the main register could no longer supply them or the till failed to store them, and a till reconnecting to a main register that has just been restarted catches up on them at all.
