Version 5.4 introduces comprehensive new features for your daily business operations: tipping via card terminals, flexible dynamic pricing levels, and the ability to split card payments. Additionally, numerous improvements have been made to the user interface and overall stability.

• Tipping via Card Terminal: Your customers can now enter tips directly on the card terminal. This feature is supported by both ZVT terminals and GPTom devices.

• Card Split Payment: Allow your customers to split a bill across multiple cards. Perfect for groups who want to pay separately.

• Voucher Number on Invoice: Used vouchers are now displayed with their voucher number on the invoice, improving traceability.

• Prepaid Balance Display: On digital invoices, your customers' remaining prepaid balance is now displayed.

• Automatic Login for Managed Devices: On managed enterprise devices (MDM), login occurs automatically via the device serial number - no manual login required.

• Improved Quantity Units: For items with decimal quantities, a default quantity unit is no longer enforced, allowing for more flexible quantity input.

• Optimized QR Code Generation: QR code generation for fiscal receipts in Germany (TSE) has been optimized and now uses pre-generated QR codes when available.

This patch release fixes two important bugs in the POS system: Automatic receipt printing now works reliably in all digital invoice dialog scenarios, and barcode recognition has been optimized for different check digit formats.

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Automatic Receipt Printing with Digital Invoice Dialog: When the digital invoice dialog was displayed (e.g., for change amounts or stored customer email), but the digital invoice feature was disabled, the receipt was not printed automatically.

• EAN Code Recognition with Different Check Digit Formats: Barcode scanners may deliver EAN codes with or without check digits (e.g., 12 digits vs. 13 digits). When the format differed between scanner and database, the article was not found.

• Warehouse Management: Fixed crash when displaying stock-up transactions. The app could crash when viewing articles or reviews with stock up transactions in warehouse management.

• Printing: Improved printer detection for remote printers. Printers are now recognized with unique identifiers, increasing reliability when printing over the network.

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Multi-terminal customer assignment: When a customer was assigned to an order on one terminal, it incorrectly appeared on all other terminals as well. This issue is now resolved.

• Crash with large datasets: A crash could occur when working with a large number of articles, orders, or customers. Database queries have been optimized to handle large datasets reliably.

• Sync errors with long text entries: When text fields (e.g. customer name, address, order comment) exceeded the server's maximum length, synchronization would fail. Texts are now automatically truncated to the allowed length and input fields in the app enforce the corresponding limits.

• Stock Synchronization: Changes from other sales points or the manager are now picked up faster – the sync interval for stock transactions has been increased

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Multi-Terminal: Customer booking in multi-terminal operation fixed – temporary models without confirmed orders are now correctly excluded, preventing other terminals from incorrectly reusing existing groups

🚀 Improvements

• Prepaid Live Validation: Prepaid balance is now validated live before each redemption. This prevents accidental overdraw, e.g. when a voucher is used simultaneously at multiple terminals

• Faster Prepaid Calculation: Prepaid card balance calculation has been significantly sped up through optimized database queries – especially noticeable for cards with many transactions

• DSFinV-K Compliance: Order data in the fiscal signature now fully complies with the DSFinV-K Bestellung-V1 specification. Modifiers are correctly filtered so that only main items appear in the fiscal receipt

• Card Terminal Administration: Reactivation of the administration menu for card terminals

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Modifiers Visible When Editing: Modifiers are now correctly shown as selected when editing a cart item. Previously, already selected modifiers could appear unmarked.

• Active Order Protected: The currently visible order is no longer inadvertently reset when temporary orders are cleared on shift switch. The active order now always remains intact.
