If you work at the customer's place, you have no counter and often no printer: payment is taken in the living room, in a care home or in the customer's office, the invoice should still be correct, and card payment has to work without a terminal too. This guide shows how to set up a mobile Sales Point for home visits.

Mobile Sales Points are Sales Points without a fixed location, intended for exactly this kind of use, see Sales Points. Which devices are suitable is covered in Choosing the right hardware in the scenario "Mobile or single Sales Point".
A mobile Sales Point runs as its own Main Sales Point. A Sub-Terminal is not suitable for home visits because it needs the Main Sales Point on the local network.
Card payment on the road
-
bessa Pay via Tap to Pay: the customer holds their card or smartphone to your POS device; no separate terminal is needed. It requires a suitable Android device and a stable internet connection, see bessa Pay.
-
Mobile card terminal: a Bluetooth terminal, e.g. from SumUp, connects to the Sales Point, see SumUp. More providers under Card payment terminals.
No network at the customer's
A Main Sales Point keeps working without an internet connection and synchronises its data as soon as it is back online. Fiscalisation follows its own rules depending on the country, see Fiscalisation. Tap to Pay, however, always needs an internet connection. So decide in advance whether you take cash from customers without network or work through your smartphone's hotspot.
The invoice without a printer
-
QR code: with Digital Receipt enabled, the Sales Point shows a QR code after payment that the customer scans with their smartphone to get the invoice as a PDF.
-
By email: if a customer with an email address is linked, Send file to ‹email address› sends the invoice through your device's email app.
-
Printed after all: Print invoice is always possible if the device has a printer.

Customers with addresses
With the customer management module you create your customers with an address, also with several addresses, e.g. home and care home. When taking payment, link the receipt via Link customer; name and address then appear on the invoice, which many customers need for claims with their insurer or employer. See Customers.
Travel fee
Create the travel fee as a separate article, e.g. "Travel zone 1" and "Travel zone 2". If it should never be missing from a treatment, attach it to the services via an article option with Min 1 and Max 1, see Article options.
Goods in the vehicle
If you sell products on the road, e.g. care products, create a separate sub-warehouse for the vehicle and assign it to the mobile Sales Point. Sales then book in the vehicle warehouse, and you record restocking from the main warehouse as a transfer. See Create and edit warehouses.
Frequently asked questions
Can I take payment with my private smartphone? Technically that is often possible, but not recommended. The reasons and the support limits for consumer hardware are in Choosing the right hardware.
Do I have to close the Sales Point in the evening? Yes, like every Main Sales Point with the Sales Point closing, see Sales Point closing.
