The digital receipt displays a QR code on the customer display through which the customer can access their PDF invoice.
Behavior
When Digital Receipt is enabled:
-
✅ QR code is displayed on the customer display
-
❌ Automatic receipt printing is disabled
-
✅ Manual receipt printing remains possible
What the customer sees when paying
Next to the QR code, the digital receipt shows the amounts of the transaction. When there is change, as of version 6.1.0 the line Given appears above it — the amount the guest handed over. The guest can use it to check the amount you entered before taking the change back. The two lines only ever appear together: without change, the amount given merely repeats the total.
On the digital receipt, redeemed vouchers are excluded from the amount given so that it matches the total shown there — which leaves them out as well. Further limits, shared with the printed receipt, are described under Close out and pay.
