The cash journal is the digital diary of every cash movement on your Sales Point. Cash takings from invoices, cash voids, and manual deposits or withdrawals are recorded chronologically. At the daily closing the current balance is stored and carried forward as the opening balance of the next day — your cash position is documented down to the cent.
Module prerequisite: The Cash Journal menu entry and every function below only appear if the Automatic Cash Journal module is licensed for your location.
Open the cash journal
Tap Cash Journal in the main menu. The list shows every entry of the currently active day with time, amount, and entry type; the current balance is shown at the top.

What is recorded automatically
The following events are written to the cash journal without any further action:
-
Cash payments from closed invoices (including the cash portion of a split payment).
-
Cash voids from voided invoices.
-
Daily closing as a balance entry. When the next day is started, the same balance appears as Opening, giving you a gap-free hand-over.
Manual deposits and withdrawals
Movements that do not originate from an invoice (change inserted, cash expenses, paying out tips from the drawer, …) must be entered manually. This is only possible while the day is active.
-
Open the cash journal.
-
Tap the deposit or withdrawal icon in the top right of the header bar.
-
Enter the amount and a description (e.g. "Change €50", "Tip payout").
-
Confirm.
The entry appears in the list immediately and the balance is updated.
Certain transactions must be recorded manually so that the cash balance at end-of-day matches the actual contents of the drawer. Typical example: paying out card tips in cash — see Tips for details.
