After signing in you land on the welcome screen. It is more than a greeting: it shows at the top whether the operation is running smoothly, and below that the menu entries you are actually allowed to use on this Sales Point — one glance and one tap, instead of opening the menu first.
The quick start
Below the status row, the menu entries sit as tiles. A tap opens the entry exactly as if you had chosen it from the menu.
The grid is not fixed. It shows precisely the entries that are also in the menu — that is, whatever
-
your user role permits and
-
is set up and licensed on this Sales Point.
It additionally contains Settings. It does not contain Switch user — that is what the menu is for.
If the grid looks different on two devices, that is not a fault: either the signed-in users have different permissions, or the two Sales Points are set up differently.
The status chips
Between the logo and the quick start sits a row of chips summing up the operating state. They read by one simple rule:
-
If everything is in order, there is a single chip: All OK.
-
If there are open issues, there is one chip per open issue — and the "All OK" chip disappears.
Every chip can be tapped and leads straight into the view where the issue can be resolved. So you do not have to know where the state comes from.

The same states also appear in the header of the menu and are explained in detail under Service area on the Sales Point — where you find the cause of each state and the view responsible for it.
Back to the welcome screen
Tap the logo in the header of the menu. This takes you back to the welcome screen from any view.
The menu no longer opens by itself on the welcome screen. It would cover the status chips and the first tiles — and those are exactly what the screen is there for. The menu icon in the toolbar still opens it by hand at any time.
Frequently asked questions
A tile I need is missing. Then you lack the permission, or the function is not set up on this Sales Point. Check your user role in bessa Manager.
The "All OK" chip has disappeared. That is not a fault but the display working: as soon as an issue is open, the summary chip steps back and makes room for the individual chips.
I can see a chip but not what to do about it. Tap it — it leads into the view that explains the state and lets you resolve it.
