Article Management is the central module in bessa Manager for maintaining all article data of your point-of-sale system. Here you manage your entire range – from individual articles and article groups through prices and options to the design of the order screen.
Overview
In Article Management in bessa Manager you will find all the settings around your product range. The clear structure enables efficient management of your master data, which is automatically synchronised with all connected bessa Kassa devices.
Article Management is divided into the following sections:
Article Groups
Structure your range using logical categories. Article groups serve as overarching folders in which you can group your articles thematically – for example "Drinks", "Food" or "Desserts". Well-thought-out grouping makes navigation at the Sales Point easier and improves your reporting options.
Articles
The heart of Article Management. This is where you create all the products and services that you want to sell via your bessa Kassa. For each article you define the name, price, tax type and other properties. Articles can be created individually or imported in bulk.
Article Options
Offer your customers choices when ordering. With article options you define add-ons and variants – such as sizes, side dishes or extras. For example, a coffee can be configured with different milk options, or a burger with different sides.
Display
Design the interface of your bessa Kassa individually. Define which articles and article groups should appear in which order on the Sales Point display. An optimised order screen speeds up the order process and reduces errors.
Adapt the visual appearance of your articles at the Sales Point. Define colours, icons and the display order for intuitive operation. A clear display makes daily work easier for your staff.
Printing Groups
Control which articles are output on which order ticket printers. With printing groups you assign articles to specific printers – for example drinks to the bar printer and food to the kitchen printer. This way, orders are automatically routed to the right station.
Pricing Levels
Work with different pricing structures for various situations. Pricing levels allow different prices to be stored for the same article – for happy hour, takeaway or staff consumption, for example. The desired pricing level is selected during ordering or applied automatically.
Courses
Organise the workflow in the kitchen with course control. Assign articles to courses to define the order of preparation. For example, starters can be sent to the kitchen before the main course and prepared at staggered times.
