Add Nutrition Facts to Articles

Add nutrition information to your articles in the bessa Manager. These will then be displayed automatically on the kiosk and in the app.

Requirements

• Access to bessa Manager (https://manager.bessa.app))

• At least one additional language must be enabled for your venue

Step 1: Open the Article

1. Log in to the bessa Manager

2. Navigate to Articles in the left sidebar

3. Click on the article you want to add nutrition facts to

Step 2: Switch Language

The nutrition facts field is located in the Text / Translation section of the article details. It is only visible when a non-default language is selected.

1. In the article dialog, switch to the Details tab

2. Under Text / Translation, select a translation language (e.g., German, if your default language is different)

Step 3: Enter Nutrition Facts

1. You will find the Nutrition Facts field below the Allergens field

2. Enter the nutrition information as text (maximum 256 characters)

3. Example: Energy: 250 kcal, Fat: 12g, Carbohydrates: 30g, Protein: 8g

4. Save the article

Repeat this process for all articles that should display nutrition information.

Notes

• Nutrition facts are optional — articles without nutrition facts work as usual

• Nutrition facts are stored as free text. You can choose any format

• Nutrition facts can be set per language for multilingual setups

• Nutrition facts are only available for base articles, not for daily menu items

• Changes become visible on the kiosk at the next data refresh (automatically every 5 minutes or manually via settings)
