Resolution
Bixolon label printers report their resolution to the Sales Point as soon as the connection is established. It appears in the Label Printing dialog under Resolution (dpi) and usually does not need to be changed.
Most series come in two resolutions; the last digit of the model number shows which:
|
Last digit of the model number |
Resolution |
Example |
|---|---|---|
|
0 |
203 dpi |
SLP-TX220 |
|
3 |
300 dpi |
SLP-TX223 |
If the dialog shows Not reported by the printer, please check, enter the resolution from the rating plate.
Setting the label size
The size of the label, above all the print width, is set in the Bixolon configuration tool (e.g. Label Utility) – the Sales Point does not change it. Set the print width to the width of the label, not to that of the wider liner. Otherwise the content sits shifted to one side, see Setting the label size on the printer.
A Bixolon label printer on the network accepts only one connection. Close the configuration tool or disconnect it before printing at the Sales Point.
