Referral program

With the referral program, your existing app users can refer new customers to your bessa white-label app. When an invitation is accepted, both people — the referrer and the referred friend — receive a reward card.

The referral program is a feature of the bessa white-label app and is set up per app under App → App settings. It is disabled by default — see Set up the referral program.

How it works

Every app user has a personal referral code and invite link in the app.
The user shares the code or link with friends or acquaintances.
The referred friend accepts the invitation — either during registration or later in the app.
Both sides automatically receive their reward card in the app.

The invite link leads to a landing page from which the referred friend can download the app. The personal code is already attached, so the referral is matched correctly after installation.

Accepting an invitation

There are two ways to redeem an invitation:

During registration: the referred friend enters the referral code while creating their account.
Afterwards: an already-registered customer enters the code later in the app.

The result is the same in both cases — both sides receive their reward.

The reward cards

Each reward is a card credited to the person in the app. You choose in the bessa Manager which card the referrer receives and which card the referred friend receives (see Set up the referral program). The two cards can be identical or different.

Rules

A customer can be referred only once. A second referral code can no longer be redeemed.
No one can refer themselves.
The referred friend always receives their reward. The referrer is only rewarded if their account is still active.
The referrer receives a separate reward for each friend they refer — more referrals mean more rewards.

Notification

As soon as the referrer's reward is credited, they are informed by email and push notification.

Referrals by new customers

Every referred friend also receives their own referral code and can refer further customers in turn.

Frequently asked questions

Can a customer redeem more than one invitation? No. Each customer can be referred exactly once.

Do I get a reward for every friend I refer? Yes. There is a separate reward for each friend you refer.

What happens if my account is deactivated? The referred friend still receives their reward. The referrer, however, is not rewarded in that case.
