Article Management is the central module in bessa Manager for maintaining all article data in your POS system. Here you manage your entire product range – from individual articles and article groups to prices and options, right through to designing the ordering interface.
Overview
In Article Management within bessa Manager, you'll find all settings related to your product catalog. The clear structure enables efficient management of your master data, which is automatically synchronized with all connected bessa Kassa devices.
Article Management is divided into the following areas:
Article Groups
Structure your product range through logical categories. article groups serve as parent folders where you can thematically organize your articles – for example, "Beverages", "Food", or "Desserts". A well-thought-out grouping makes navigation on the POS easier and improves your reporting capabilities.
Articles
The core area of Article Management. Create all products and services here that you want to sell through your bessa Kassa. For each article, you define the name, price, tax type, and other properties. articles can be created individually or conveniently imported in bulk.
Article Options
Offer your customers choices when ordering. With article options, you define add-ons and variants – such as sizes, sides, or extras. For example, a coffee can be configured with different milk options, or a burger with various toppings.
Displays
Design your bessa Kassa interface individually. Determine which articles and article groups appear in which arrangement on the POS display. An optimized ordering interface speeds up the ordering process and reduces errors.
Customize the visual appearance of your articles on the POS. Define colors, icons, and display order for intuitive operation. A clear display makes daily work easier for your staff.
Printing Groups
Control which articles are printed on which receipt printers. With print groups, you assign articles to specific printers – for example, beverages to the bar printer and food to the kitchen printer. This way, orders automatically go to the correct station.
Pricing Levels
Work with different pricing structures for various situations. Pricing levels allow you to store different prices for the same article – such as for happy hour, take-away, or staff consumption. The desired price level is selected when ordering or applied automatically.
Course Groups
Organize kitchen workflow with course control. Assign courses to articles to determine the preparation sequence. For example, starters are sent to the kitchen before the main course and prepared with a time delay.
