Article groups allow you to organize your articles in the bessa POS system in a clear and structured way. By grouping articles, you can centrally define shared properties such as tax rates, print groups, and discount options for all associated articles.
Overview
Navigate to Articles → Article Groups in the bessa Kassa Manager to open the overview of all created article groups.
The table displays all existing article groups with the following information and actions:

Removes the article group and all associated articles |
Caution: Deleting an article group will also permanently delete all assigned articles! Make sure to reassign articles to another group beforehand if you want to keep them.
Create a New Article Group

Click on New Group (+ icon)

Fill in the form fields (see Form Fields)

Click Save
Edit an Article Group

Click the Edit icon (pencil) in the corresponding row

Adjust the desired fields

The Create Group or Edit Group dialog contains the following fields:

Account number for accounting exports (format depends on your accounting software) |

Printing Group |
Defines which printer receives tickets for articles in this group – see Printing Groups |

Defines the service course for hospitality – see Course Groups |

Tax Rate |
The applicable VAT rate for all articles in this group – see Tax Types |

Discountable |
Determines whether articles in this group can be discounted |

Online Orders |
Enables visibility of articles in online ordering channels (bessa App, Kiosk) |
Tip: Properties such as tax rate and print group can also be overridden at the article level. The group-level setting serves as the default value for all new articles.
Import and Export Articles
The Manage Articles button provides import and export functions:
Download Template
Download a CSV template containing all required columns for import. Fill it in with your article data.
Import File
Import articles from a CSV file:

Click Manage Articles → Import File

Select the prepared CSV file

Confirm the import
Export File
Export all articles as a CSV file for further processing or data backup.
