Customizing Time Periods

For the reports Articles/Time, Articles/Day, Article Group/Time, and Article Group/Day, you can define custom time windows using the Time Periods button (clock icon) above the report.

Note: By default, no time periods are defined. All revenue is grouped under "Uncategorized" in this case. Only after you create custom time periods will revenue be assigned to the corresponding time windows.

Here is an example configuration for a hospitality business:

Label

11:00

Noon

11:00

14:00

Afternoon

14:00

17:00

Evening

22:00

In the dialog, you can edit existing time periods (pencil icon), delete them (trash icon), or add new time windows via + Add Time Period. Times are entered in the format hh:mm or hh:mm:ss.

Tip: Revenue that falls outside of defined time periods will continue to be displayed under "Uncategorized". Make sure your time windows cover your entire opening hours.

Downloading and Sharing Reports

  • Download – Click the green "Download" button in the header bar to download the current report as a file.

  • Share – Use the "Share" button to share the report with others.

Practical Tips

  • Revenue analysis by time of day: Use the Articles/Time or Article Group/Time reports to find out which articles are in highest demand at which times. This helps you optimize your offerings and staffing.

  • Compare staff performance: User reports give you an overview of revenue generated by each team member, which is particularly useful for workforce planning and performance reviews.

  • Period comparisons for trend analysis: Enable the comparison to track revenue trends between periods – e.g. whether a month or quarter performed better or worse than the previous year.

  • Monitor cancellations: The "Cancelled Payments/User" report helps you detect unusual cancellation patterns early.

  • Multi-location analysis: Filter by location to analyze and compare the performance of individual branches.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why can't I see the "Configure Report" sidebar? The sidebar is hidden when you click on the report area. Reload the page to restore the sidebar.

Why is the "Enable Comparison" option missing? The comparison feature is not available for custom time periods. Select a predefined time period (day, week, month, quarter, or year) to use the comparison.

What do the colors in the Change column mean? Green with ↗ indicates a revenue increase compared to the previous period, red with ↘ indicates a decrease.

Why are the "Restrict Articles" and "Restrict Article Groups" filters missing? These filters are not available for the "Payment Method/Article Group" report type, as this report already groups by payment methods.

Can I permanently change the time periods? Yes, your time period customizations are saved and automatically applied to future reports. As long as no time periods are defined, all revenue is displayed under "Uncategorized".

In what format is the report downloaded? The report is downloaded as a file. The format depends on the currently selected settings.
