First Sign-In on the Sales Point

Before you can post orders, take payments, or run a daily closing on a bessa Sales Point, the bessa Sales Point app must be installed on the device, signed in, and fully synchronised with the bessa cloud at least once. This page walks you through the first sign-in step by step.

You receive your sign-in credentials (username and password) directly from bessa or from your Sales Point dealer.

Step 1 — Install the app

The bessa Sales Point app must be installed on every device individually. On an all-in-one Sales Point device the app is usually pre-installed from the factory; you can skip this step in that case.

For your own Android tablets or phones:

  1. Open the Google Play Store on the device.

  2. Search for bessa Kassa.

  3. Tap Install.

On specialised devices (e.g. certain SUNMI or Imin devices) the app lives in the device's built-in app store. When in doubt, your Sales Point dealer can confirm where to obtain it for your specific hardware.

Step 2 — Sign in

  1. Open the installed bessa Kassa app.

  2. Enter your username and password.

  3. Confirm with Sign in.

After the first successful sign-in, the app downloads your master data (products, product groups, tax rates, payment methods, ordering surfaces, rooms, tables, users, device settings) from the server in the background. Depending on the volume and your network, this takes a few seconds to a few minutes.

While the initial master-data sync is running, the ordering surface may look incomplete. Wait for the first sync to finish before using the Sales Point in production.

Step 3 — Check or force a sync

bessa keeps data between the Sales Point and the cloud continuously up to date:

  • Master data is synchronised with the server every 5 minutes.

  • Transaction data (orders, invoices, daily closings) is uploaded every minute.

During initial setup, however, you typically want to see right away how the products and ordering surfaces you prepared in the bessa Manager look on the Sales Point. You can force a sync manually at any time:

Menu → Settings → Sync now

The app then immediately downloads all current changes from the server. Repeat this step whenever you change something in the Manager and want the Sales Point to pick it up without waiting.

Frequently asked questions

I installed the app but I don't see a sign-in screen — what now? Make sure the Sales Point has internet access. Without an active connection the app cannot authenticate against the bessa cloud.

I forgot my password. You can reset the password yourself as long as you still have access to the email address registered with bessa. Open the Manager sign-in page, click Forgot password, and follow the steps in Forgot password. Only when the registered email account is also unreachable, contact your Sales Point dealer or bessa support.

Can I sign in on several Sales Point devices at the same time? Yes. Each physical Sales Point is set up in the Manager as its own Main Sales Point or as a Sub-Terminal of a Main Sales Point. The app is installed on each device separately and signs in with the same user credentials.
