Locations enable centralized management of multiple business locations within a bessa account. Each location represents a physical operating site such as a restaurant, branch, or store and can be configured with its own registers, warehouses, and specific settings.
Overview
In Location Management in bessa Manager, you will find a list of all locations belonging to your account. bessa supports an unlimited number of locations, making it suitable for franchise systems and larger chain operations.
Each location is assigned to a parent company and can be connected to a warehouse and multiple registers. The hierarchy is structured as follows:
Company → Location → Registers / Warehouse
Creating and Deleting Locations
Creating and deleting locations is reserved for bessa Support, as each location is license-relevant. Contact Support if you need to add a new location or remove an existing one.

Editing a Location
To edit an existing location, navigate to Location Management → Locations and select the desired location. The editing interface is divided into two tabs: Location and Address.
Location
The data entered here is printed in the header and footer sections of many receipts, such as invoices, receipts, and daily closings.
Important: Changes to location data are only applied by the register at the next daily closing. During an active day, the previous data remains on receipts. End the current day and start a new daily closing for the new location data to take effect.
The following fields can be configured in the Location tab:
Company The parent company to which this location belongs. This assignment can only be changed by Support.
Name The name of the location as it appears in the register app and on receipts.
Phone Number Contact phone number for the location. Overrides the phone number from the company settings.
Email General email address for the location. Overrides the email address from the company settings.
Email for Reports Recipient address for automatically sent reports, for example during automatic daily closing with email sending enabled. Overrides the corresponding setting in the company.
Bank Details (Bank, IBAN, BIC/SWIFT) The bank details of the location are used for the Bank Transfer payment method. For invoices with open bank transfer payments, an EPC QR code (Girocode) is automatically printed on the invoice. Customers can scan this QR code with their banking app and complete the transfer without manually entering bank details.

Invoice Header Additional text printed in the header section of every invoice. Overrides the setting in the company.
Invoice Footer Additional text that appears in the footer section of every invoice. Opening hours, notes, or legal information can be placed here, for example. Overrides the setting in the company.
Logo The location logo is displayed in various places: in the register menu, as background, in the default screensaver, and in the invoice header. When a logo is present, the company name is printed smaller on receipts with the logo placed above it. Overrides the logo from company settings.
Warehouse A warehouse can be assigned to the location here. This setting can be overridden by a specific warehouse configured for a room or register.
Note: All location-specific settings automatically override the corresponding settings at the company level. If a field is left empty at the location, the value from the company is used.
Address
The Address tab captures the location's postal address. This address is used on receipts and official documents and overrides the address from company settings.

Relationship with Other Master Data
Locations are closely linked with other master data in the bessa system:
Company Each location belongs to exactly one company. The company contains the overarching master data such as tax number, VAT ID, and default contact details.
Warehouse A warehouse for inventory management can be assigned to a location. The warehouse assignment can be hierarchically overridden by room or register settings.
Sales Point Each sales point is assigned to a location. A location can have any number of registers, for example different checkout points in a restaurant or multiple terminals in a store.
