VAT Rate
A VAT Rate (DE: Steuersatz) is the percentage value-added-tax rate applied to an Article or a service — e.g. 10 % on basic foodstuffs, 20 % on beverages in Austria. bessa manages multiple VAT rates in parallel (standard, reduced, exempt); the rate is assigned per article in master data and is shown on the Invoice per line item and as a totals block per rate.
Important: the legally binding reference is always the current tax statute — see BMF (Austria) or BZSt (Germany).
