Terminal Closeout
The Terminal Closeout is the end-of-day procedure of the card payment terminal. It batches the day's card payments, sends them to the payment provider for processing, and resets the terminal's receipt/transaction counter. The Terminal Closeout is independent of the Daily Closeout on the Sales Point side.
Also known as
-
Terminalabschluss — canonical term in bessa product interfaces.
-
Card terminal end-of-day — descriptive English phrase.
Distinction
-
Terminal Closeout — payment-provider side (card terminal). Not RKSV-relevant.
-
Daily Closeout — Sales Point side (Main Sales Point + Sub-Terminals). RKSV-relevant, generates a Nullbeleg.
Both closeouts are typically needed daily but run independently. A Daily Closeout does not replace a Terminal Closeout, and vice versa.
