Fiscalisation in Germany
In Germany every transaction is signed by a certified TSE (Technische Sicherheitseinrichtung) and stored tamper-proof. Unlike Croatia, there is no real-time transmission to the tax office: the data is kept locally or in the cloud and provided only on demand — during an audit or cash inspection (Kassen-Nachschau) — as an export.
The TSE signing is handled by bessa Sign as a certified TSE component.
Prerequisites
-
Your company's tax number (Steuernummer)
-
Your VAT identification number (USt-IdNr.)
-
A cash register registered with the tax office — every electronic recording system must be reported to the tax office (see Register the cash register with the tax office).
Unlike Croatia, Germany allows short-term offline operation: if the connection to the TSE fails temporarily, you can keep posting. How this works is described in Receipt issuance and TSE signature.
