Performance mode switches off the animations of bessa Kassa. New content appears immediately without a transition — which makes operation feel faster, especially on handhelds and older devices.
Turning on performance mode
-
Open Menu → Settings → System.
-
Tap Performance mode. The switch at the end of the row turns on.
Turning it off works the same way. No app restart is needed: the setting takes effect from the next screen you open. A screen that was already open when you switched keeps its previous behaviour until you open it again.
Performance mode applies to this device only. It is stored on the device — like the appearance — and is kept after a restart. Other Sales Points and Sub-Terminals are not affected; turn it on there separately if needed. It is off by default.
What performance mode switches off
While performance mode is on, these elements jump straight to their final state:
-
changes between screens, including inside Settings and the table plan
-
dialogs, selection lists and popups, for example when switching receipts
-
the menu, when you open or close it via the menu icon
-
the number pad sliding in and the total expanding
-
changes in lists, including the brief highlight of a booked or removed item
If you pull the menu open with your finger, it still follows your finger.
What stays animated
Some animations remain even in performance mode:
-
the screen saver
-
the loading indicator
-
the start logo when the app opens
-
the on-screen keyboard — it is a separate app on the device; bessa Kassa does not control how it slides in and out
-
the dimming behind a dialog — the dialog itself appears immediately, the background darkens briefly
If animations are already removed in the device's Android settings, bessa Kassa behaves as if performance mode were turned on.
