The stock history in the bessa Manager shows every booking of an article in a warehouse: sales, voids, deliveries, stock outs, stocktaking and transfers – with date, user, comment and quantity. Use it to find out how a stock level came about.
Open the History
The history always applies to one article in one warehouse. You open it in three places in the Manager:
-
Warehouse view: Manage → Warehouses → the article's ⓘ History symbol
-
Article: open the article → Warehouse management tab → in the Warehouse Stock table, the ⓘ History symbol of the warehouse
-
Online orders: Online Ordering → Online Orders → Item Reports → expand the article → Stock history
The dialog header shows the warehouse and article as well as the Current stock.

Daily Stock Levels
For every day with at least one booking, bessa keeps a Daily stock entry with the stock level at the end of that day. It is updated with every booking – retroactively, too, if a booking with an earlier date arrives later.
If you open the history from the online orders item report, you can switch at the top:
-
Bookings – all entries (default)
-
Daily stock levels – only the daily stock levels, ideal for seeing how the stock developed over several days
Comments
A comment only appears for bookings where one was recorded:
-
Sales Point: single bookings with a comment entered and all batch bookings (prefilled with booking type and date, e.g. "Stock Up …")
-
Manager: the booking dialogs and the delivery import do not set a comment.
FAQ
Can I export the history? No, the history is a view in the Manager.
Can I delete a wrong booking from the history? No. Book the opposite movement or correct the stock level via stocktaking – both appear as a separate row in the history.
Why is there no history at the Sales Point? The Sales Point only shows the current stock level. As a record of a batch booking it prints a stock report, see Edit Stock Levels at the Sales Point.
