Article Mapping - Overview
What Is Article Mapping?
When you receive orders from third-party platforms such as Lieferando, Wolt, Uber Eats, Foodora or others, these platforms use their own article names. Article Mapping links these external article names to your bessa articles, so that orders can be processed correctly.
Example
A customer orders an article called "Margherita Pizza Large" on Lieferando. In your bessa system, however, this article is called "Pizza Margherita (32cm)". Article mapping ensures that these two names are mapped to each other automatically.
Automatic Mapping
The system recognises many articles automatically through intelligent name-similarity recognition (fuzzy matching). If an article cannot be recognised automatically, it appears in the list of unmapped articles, where you can map it manually.
Prerequisites
-
At least one third-party service must be set up for your venue (e.g. Lieferando, Wolt, Uber Eats)
-
Services with direct integration (Etron, Shopify) are not shown here, as their articles are mapped automatically via an article ID
-
Article mapping can be found in the menu under Online Ordering > Article Mapping
Navigation
