Sales Point Closings

The Sales Point Closings page in bessa Manager shows an overview of all sales point closings carried out for your Sales Points. Here you can filter closings by period, company, location and Sales Point, download them as PDF, print them and – with the FinanzOnline integration enabled – run a receipt audit directly.

Sales Point Closing vs. Terminal Closing: Two options are available in the print menu:

  • Sales Point Closing: Includes the closing of the Main Sales Point including all assigned Sub-Terminals. All revenues of the Main Sales Point and its Sub-Terminals are settled together.

  • Terminal Closing: Refers to the closing of the card terminal (payment terminal). bessa Kassa carries out the terminal closing automatically with the sales point closing – also for all card terminals connected to the Sub-Terminals of the Main Sales Point.

Tip: For information on performing a sales point closing directly at the terminal, see the article Sales Point Closing. When performing the sales point closing, bessa Kassa automatically also triggers the terminal closing of all connected card terminals.

Want to configure the sales point closing (e.g. day start/end, automatic closing, email dispatch)? See Configure Sales Point Closing.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the difference between a sales point closing and a terminal closing?

The sales point closing closes the entire Main Sales Point including all assigned Sub-Terminals. All revenues are summarised. The terminal closing refers to the closing of the card terminal (payment terminal). bessa Kassa triggers the terminal closing automatically with the sales point closing.

Why is my sales point closing in "open" status (Ended at = "-")?

An open sales point closing means that the Sales Point in question is currently still open and no closing has yet been carried out. Once the sales point closing is performed at the terminal, date, time and user appear in the "Ended at" column.

Why is the Audit button missing on my Web Kassa?

The receipt audit via FinanzOnline is only available for fiscalised Sales Points. For Sales Points without fiscalisation, only the print function is available.

What does the green checkmark next to the Audit button mean?

The green checkmark indicates that the receipt audit via FinanzOnline was successful. On a successful audit, all previous sales point closings are automatically marked as audited.

Can I edit a sales point closing afterwards?

No. A completed sales point closing cannot be modified afterwards. This is in line with the requirements of the Registrierkassensicherheitsverordnung (RKSV) and serves tamper protection.

Can the sales point closing be performed automatically?

Yes. In bessa Manager, under Location Management > Sales Points > [Select Sales Point] > "Sales Point Closing" tab, you can configure an automatic closing. You can set the day start, the day end, the closing interval (daily, weekly, monthly) and the automatic email dispatch of the report. For details, see the article Configure Sales Point Closing.

What are the open orders at the end of the sales point closing report?

Open orders are orders that had not yet been paid at the time of the sales point closing (e.g. tables still occupied in hospitality). These are shown for information, but are not yet included in the revenue of the current sales point closing.
